Lake Vouliagmeni near Athens is fed by underground springs. Warm water has healing properties. It relaxes, relieves fatigue, helps in the treatment of headaches, rheumatism, arthritis, gynecological and skin diseases. Keep in mind that you cannot swim for a long time. For a thermal bath, 10-15 minutes is enough. Also, you will not be able to dive on Vouliagmeni - underwater diving is allowed only for scientific purposes.

Lake Vouliagmeni is only 100 m away from the sea. There is an excellent beach on the shore with sun loungers and parasols. There are good hotels nearby.

How to get to Lake Vouliagmeni

Lake Vouliagmeni is located 21 km south of the center of Athens. It is easy to get here by taxi or rented car. Also from the metro station Στ.Ελληνικο to the lake there is a bus number 122. The journey costs 2 €.
